A Taste of New Orleans Last viewed: 13 hours ago

Here's a couple songs from our gig at A Taste of New Orleans in San Antonio Friday evening. It was opening night and we were the first band. It was raining most of the day, but stopped about a half hour before we went on. I'm playing on a back line Gretsch kit, but I used my supra and cymbals. After playing for almost an hour and a half at full speed, I was a bit pooped.

Btw, that's a cheapo Gretsch Blackhawk kit, I was told it was bought in a pawn shop to be used specifically for events like this. The toms had clear heads with tape on them and the kick had a giant pillow stuffed inside, I didn't know people were still doing this. The drums had absolutely no tone from behind the kit.

I'm even further south.... But we are being deluged with wind & rain too.. Sydney last night I would rate as the worst in 30 years.. Trees down, roads blocked, power outages and lots of damage.. Had to move away from the large glass windows.. could see the panes flexing.. Just saying

Not to change the subject, oh wait, I didn't change the subject.DOH
