A question about a bass drum anchor Last viewed: 4 minutes ago

I bought this a few years ago but never have used it. I remember unwrapping it and thinking this can't work. I packed it away and only found it yesterday in some old drum parts.

Is there a way this would work? Does anyone here use one of these? It almost seems like there is a part or parts missing. If there is it's too late to get my money back.

Here it is.........

Thanks

It looks like you have to drill through your bass drum hoop for it work. Is this correct? The screws go through the thin metal strip there and it appears that they also go through the metal plate with the rubber backing. If you have to drill holes to use this it's not my cup-o-tea.

Hi Gary!

You are correct that you have to drill 2 holes in the bass drum hoop. I had one of these anchors years ago and, as VM2K said, it works so-so!
