A Blast From The Past!

Loading...

My parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past May. I had posted a few pictures of my 1967 Rogers Headliner kit that I used on a few songs while sitting in with the band my parents hired.

Was going through some pictures and found one of myself playing my 1972 Rogers Celebrity kit for my parents 25th (1977) anniversary! I was slim, trim and had plenty of hair! LoLoLoLo

The second floor tom was built by Al Blaemire!

We had one rockin' accordianist, too!

Just wanted to share my memories, and Rogers kit, with all of you! band2

It was my first professional kit! Purchased brand new in 1972 and, sadly, sold 10 years later.

Was the FT a fiberglass shell?

Did you meet Mr. Blaemire?

Got some "play" time in with them I hope! Love that 14 floor tom, great kit! BTW, the set of hats I got with the Ludwig kit are as thin, if not thinner than yours, but yours sound SOOOOOO much better.
