Waiting to hear back from the guy and I have a pick up to hopefully haul them away since it seems to be a no-brainer. So late 70s like these are pre-Rocker with classic hardware?

No not per-Rocker the set in the listing is from the 1980's they are 6 ply maple shells look at the badge's they have rounded corners..1970's Ludwig had pointy corner badge's....Mikey

Mikey777, I beg to differ - rounded corner B&O badges came out in the late 70s according to this:

http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/ludwig_badges.html

70s Slingy WMP
70s Ludwig Standard Aqua Mist
60s Ludwig Champagne Sparkle Downbeat
and a whole bunch of snares and hardware

I think the badges changed when the shells did.

I don't wish to be in the middle of all this, but I would like to clarify a tiny piece. The cat number was marked as 80, but it was actually published almost two years prior. I have that cat and have notes from the summer following my Sophmore year in high school. I graduated in 1980.

If you're curious ... Page 5 Octa Plus Natural Maple was the one. I drew in the extra cymbals and such. Dated it and calculated how much money and how long it would take to own it.

...and did you ever get that Octa-Plus? :)

Several years later, I ordered a Tama 8934B Imperialstar X-Tras M-50+4B with an additional 8x9 and 10x9 toms mounted on another Titan stand. I also substituted two Camco pedals. It was all in an Arctic White. That was a monster.
