The color of the wrap is called silver sparkle.Impossible to tell without multiple clear(as in non cell phone) pics.Could be anywhere from 50-1500,if its in near perfect original condition.

This has already been answered in your previous post ...

Please don't misread what I'm saying here ... but, you need to do your research and see for yourself what these go for. The gents here have weighed in on it and directed you appropriately.

Take some very nice COMPLETE pics that cover the kit inside and out ... including the hardware and cymbals. With THAT, someone here could give an informed bit of information of value.

Short of those two items, you are dead in the water.

Yep..what he said.I just read your other post and 6K is just not going to happen.I don't know who told you they were worth that much, but that individual is not well schooled in the real world value of vintage drums.Just check CL,and better still,Ebay COMPLETED sales for realistic prices.

I have seen overpriced drum sets languish on Ebay somtimes for over a year, till the seller finally realized their asking price was way too high. You can search some of the threads on this forum, and find the same info.

For the price you're asking,I'd say you really don't want to sell.Hmmmm

Plus as I understand the market prices has dropped (as it has in many things) from what it was at the peak years ago. I also see some expensive BIN prices on ebay. But they don't seem to sell fast if at all. Once your upside down on a purchase you can only cut your loss and sell for what you can get or keep them if you feel things will increase in time.

Are you a player? Having your Dads kit he bought new is a once in a lifetime deal. That would have more value to me than what the current market would bring. Even if you don't play but are interested try them out. Never too late to learn.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

That, my friend is sage advice indeed. If you are a drummer you could easily make two great kits out of this if you are not into the double bass thing. Always great to have the practice kit and gigging kit.
