No offense was intended. And I wasn't poking fun at you or your drum. But the whole "peaked" thing? I'm gonna let that pass.

However, as I stated in my post.... almost ANYTHING you do with this mess will be a restoration. In perfect condition it is an overpriced 250.00 drum. In the condition it would be in after Beavertails and a dampener, the value will be in your personal satisfaction. Because no one is going to buy that much more than the price of heads. Filling more holes than I could count in the pics and finding/buying/and cracking Bread and Butter Lugs is going to run you into enough money to buy something that isn't a mess. Don't waste money trying to turn the clock back to 1962, because all it will be is a drain on your wallet and no satisfaction once it is done. Its 180 bucks for the reproduction Bread and Butter lugs from JP Productions.

You can make it playable and you can be happy in that.

I think you have a cool project there. I've had a few like it myself. It will be a lot of fun. Just take your time deciding what you want to do before you do anything. You will end up with a great little kit that will be a lot of fun to play. Congratulations.

Honestly, i think you should scratch that snare.. Sell it off / parts or whatever and find a powertone that hasn't been butchered to match along with that kit. After buyer parts and restoring, the snare will still only be worth whatever the parts cost you alone.. You should source a more appropriate snare for an original bop kit.

Just my 2 cents.

thank you all for your help. I started the restoration project and the rack tom came out AMAZING. I will post before and after shots in the "restoring" section. I will say that Rogers drums are really well made. I never had a Rogers set. This is only my 2nd vintage set and only can compare it to the 62 Ludwig I restored and play...but man, what a difference in quality. The hardware, mounts etc. are so much better than Ludwig's at that time. IMO. ....hopefully after new heads they will sound superior as well. Thanks again all. and apologizes again to ploughman....that was just a really bad day for me,
