Everything looks factory, but the price is on the steep side ! If it had a snare drum with the price would be in line !

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

I just got a Hollywood kit identical to this in Gold Sparkle Pearl; it's an awesome kit. Same condition, all original sans a floor tom muffler that was missing and I added, but we got it for 1200.

Kits:
1966 Ludwig Hollywood Gold Sparkle Pearl 12/13/16/22
Star 3pc in Red Glass Glitter (1960's)
Snares:
1959 Ludwig Pioneer Mahogany
60's Ludwig Pioneer Gold Sparkle
60's Ludwig Acrolite (Keystone)
Ludwig/Custom 6.5x14
1960's Bolero (MIJ)

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Extra holes on tom, bass drum is two years later than the toms and has '70s sprurs? I'd stay away...you could buy a complete original set for much less.

Robyn, I am putting together a kit this winter that will go for sale. The drums are 1960's Ludwig shells that I am going to cover in veneer. I have not decided what kind of wood or stain or anything yet so if you were interested in it, you could pick all of that. The sizes are, virgin bass drum= 14x22

9x13 tom on a snare stand, 16x16 floor tom, 16x18 floor tom and a matching snare drum. They can be stained wood or a solid color. If you are interested just send a PM.

Thank you!

thanks for the comments guys. i thought the price was kinda high too. looked at this guys sell list and he has two more ludwig kits for sale. one other like the above link but different color and a blue olive badge kit that looks similar to the others. they are listed kinda high too (i think). anyway was just curious about your opinions of a kit like this. Ludwig is my favorite especialy this style. would love to come across one that needs restored for a few dollars. i'd be in Heaven, and on my way to pick it up. i'd probly need a driver tho.......Car Driving2

Robyn, you'd be surprised how the dollars add up when restoring vintage drums, and using the proper vintage parts/hardware.

Those drums have too many red flags.Extra holes, non original hardware, two different years of manufacture(65/67).fading on the floor tom, dosen't match the rest of the kit,and the price is unrealistic.

Buying from JC is a smart thing, but the true bargain is still in the CL listing ,local classified or garage sale.

Way out of bounds for the price...If the kit was matched it is in the ballpark with NO ISSUES and clean. The 13" is from a Super Classic, and not even from an original Hollywood...thus the muffler bat arm facing out...the badge is facing you. Like I saw in the previous posts.......way too many red flags.
