!4" Zanki (Zanchi) rotocast hi hat cymbals Last viewed: 1 day ago

For sale, I have a set of Zanki (Zanchi) hi hats cymbals in very nice weights. These 14" hi hats appear to be Zanki professional line, which are rotocast. In keeping with the true signs of rotocasting, the bell is much thicker than the bow, being that the bell is cast and not punched (stretched) into shape. The bell sounds awesome when struck. These are beautiful cymbals from Fiorello Zanchi, the man whom Carlo Biasei (UFIP) referred to as "the man with the golden hands." (Pinksterboer, The Cymbal Book, p.172)

There are no cracks or keyholes in either cymbal. There are some cosmetic blemishes to be expected, certainly in keeping with their age. The top has a few small dings around the side, but nothing really rough. The top even sounds great when played as a crash cymbal. The bottom has a small amount of scratching following along the total grooves approx. 1/2" or so in from the edge and continues for about 3 inches long. Perhaps from another cymbal being set on top? Since it is on the bottom, no one sees it.

It's rare to find these in the States and even rarer to get a set that is not on the heavier side. The top weighs in at 860g and the bottom at 1271g. I should have a sound file up by tomorrow.

Asking $200 USD. $20 shipped CONUS (includes insurance).

Well gosh, I just can't decide. I had them up, pulled them down to keep them, and now these are back up for sale, as of 12/25/2013. See my original post for an accurate description. The followup post has a soundfile.
