Hello, first time poster, just trying to get some insight into the value of this kit. Appears to be pretty complete and original, although in need of some TLC. I'm guessing it to be late 30's-early 40's. Radio King toms but a non-Krupa snare. Seller got it from a non-drummer friend who inherited from his grandfather, asking price is $500. Sorry for the quality of the pics. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks much.
40's Slingerland Radio King kit Last viewed: 4 days ago
Thanks, seemed like a deal but I'm a vintage newby so any other advice is welcome. Going to see them later, I'll confirm the sizes and try to post some more pics.
Yeah, would be a shame to break up the gang...was thinking I'll clean them up and either keep or resell complete.
Lets go a few different routes here this is a complete radio King kit, except you have the rarer snare drum being the Professional model., if your not sure to go with the kit sale it in it's entirety. don't sale in in pieces,. the Bass drum and snare drum are the only two pieces usable in the modern era today, the bass is a 28" I own two of them., plastic heads will run $50.00 and more apiece. so if it's not usable to you sale the kit as a whole.
Sale them?
I think they'd leak & at 28"s you wouldn't catch much of a breeze. Laughing H
OK...you can call me a smart a$$ now! Yes Sir

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
