'38 Ludwig & Ludwig Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Picked this kit up a year ago and really don't have the proper means to store it. And truthfully in my honest opinion this should be someplace where it can be maintained, well cared for and loved. With that said I have a 1938 Ludwig & Ludwig kit. Everything is original. 26" Bass,11" Tom, and 16" Floor tom. The floor tom's bottom head had been badly replaced at some point, I am going to professionally repair it. The drums are in overall good condition for the age, but there is some wear. No major damage to the drums, just the usual wrap fade, coming up in some spots along the seam on the floor tom. I am also going to include a 1930's cowbell and mount ( also Ludwig & Ludwig ) as well as a hoop mounted cymbal tree also from the era. I bought these separate on Ebay to add to the kit. Asking $800 OBO. PM me if you are interested.

How is the wrap on the bass drum and the wrap on the bass drum hoops?

The wrap on the bass drum and hoops is great. I'd say the floor tom honestly has the worst wrap of the three, and that's mainly around the seam. If you'd like I can get a few more bass drum photos tonight or tomorrow so you can get a better idea.

I thought there would be a little more interest in this baby. I'll separate the drums if someone is interested in just one. I'd rather sell this kit as a whole. I really don't have the proper means to keep it, and I wouldn't play it enough to justify owning it.

These really look nice. Try to keep them together if you can. Good luck.

Try to be patient. Sets are very hard to move nowadays. You'll find your buyer.
