> are they all pretty much universal one size fits all?Nope, and you should ask how old they are before buying. Modern Ludwig floor tom legs are a thicker/heavier guage than the old ones and will not fit into 60's/70's Ludwig leg mounts. If they are the older, thinner legs, go for it.John
You could also purchase three of these new Ludwig P1785A floor tom legs and save some money in the process in addition to knowing that they will fit. http://www.interstatemusic.com/34059-Ludwig-P1785A-Classic-9-5mm-23-And-quot-Floor-Tom-Leg-Only-w-Tip-sold-each-P1785A.aspx3 legs at $12.58 each and free shipping = $37.74One floor tom leg and rubber tip only is part number P1785A.There is also the set of 3 legs AND clamp brackets that is part number LC5023TL, but I believe you are looking for the legs only.If you want the original 17 inch length legs you would have to purchase used or find NOS as I believe those are no longer being manufactured. There are also other non-Ludwig brands that would work. For instance Pearl's LG07 leg set can be had for $18-$20 and I believe are 9.5mm (3/8"). I've used them on my vistas without a problem.
Thanks for the answer guys and for the link to buy them.. thats awesome!
