It would appeal more to me with a Gretsch tom mount/BD spurs and original BD hoops. Speaking of the hoops, I wonder if it originally had the metal type? Joe Labarbera plays a similar SSB set that had the metal type which were replaced with natural maple hoops.

Nice solo about the 7 minute mark too . As well as a nice break at about the 10 minute mark as well .

I have seen many of these sets that came with the natural wood hoops as opposed to the metal hoops . They look nice on these drums . I still say this is a good deal on a nice Gretsch BOP set and the Slingerland hardware was avery popular thing to have installed when the drums were new at drum shops and the drums were usually shipped from Gretsch undrilled .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..
