Hey y'all. Check out this sweet find I picked up yesterday. I've posted a question regarding 'buffing' out the finish in the Restorations category of VDF, but thought I'd throw it on here for additional input. Looking for advice regarding buffing out the Gold Strata wrap. Any info y'all have to offer sure is appreciated!

Very nice.
I think Novus 2 is probably your best bet for shining those up. The strata wrap material is a fair amount thinner than regular wrap and they tend to get brittle with age so extra caution is recommended, whatever you do.
I have a Gold Strata set in 12/14/20 with matching snare which is a great set. Standards sound every bit as good as their contemporary Super Classics (same shells) so often can be one of the great bargains of the vintage drum world.

Agree with K.O. Novus 2 lightly by hand followed by Novus 1 to shine and protect. I would personally recommend to follow it with 2 coats of caranuba wax. Great find even with the mods. I have a 5-piece in ruby red and love it.
Enjoy it
