All I did to the shell is clean it with glass cleaner, but I polished everything else. What really surprised me about this drum is the screws that mount the muffler, throw off, butt plate, and lugs. they all looked brand new, Every other vintage luddy snare I have, those screws have plenty of pitina on them. These are the original screws. Ive polished these type of screws before and they turned out to be brass. I didnt polish these screws, just soaked them in dish soap and rinsed them, dried them and a drop of 3 in 1 oil. I did polish the tension rods and washers. The t rods were in excellent shape, but the washers there were all black. I soaked them in Whink then polished them, they turned out brass also.
