1968 Ludwig Acrolite Throw-Off Question Last viewed: 5 days ago

Loading...

Hi! I just picked up a 1968 Ludwig Acrolite Snare Drum at a yard sale. It is in dirty, but nice shape. The only problem is that the throw-off is missing the adjustment screw and the lever is very bent. Does anyone know what the correct throw-off would be to replace this one? It looks pretty plain. It just has "Ludwig" written in script toward the bottom, just above the snare lace holes (forgive my terminology if it is incorrect, this is all very new to me). Thanks for any information you can provide.

It takes a P-83 strainer. Sounds like you've got the right one but are missing the adjustment screw. I don't know if you'll muck luck finding just the screw. I'd suggest putting a ad in the wanted to buy section. The drum you got is a good drum by the way.

Please post a picture. I might have a broken one that has the part you need intact. I always keep these things for just such an event.
