I just love how the matching snare is being auctioned separately.

Where's the hardware? The cymbals? How about the cases that protected them for 46 years?

People didn't just buy shell sets in '66.

I like Drums...
1963 Ludwig Downbeat Champagne Sparkle
1964 Leedy (Slingerland) Blue n Silver Duco
1964 Ludwig Club Date Sparkling Silver Pearl
1966 Ludwig Super Classic Sparkling Silver Pearl
1968 Gretsch round badge modern jazz orange stain
1972 Slingerland 85N Pop outfit Light Blue Pearl
1976 Ludwig Vistalite clear
1981 Gretsch SSB Gran Prix Rosewood
1987 Yamaha Turbo Tour Custom Mellow Yellow
1991 Pearl Export Ferrari Red

Can't get much better than that. It's a shame the snare is in a separate auction. Wwwwhhhhyyyyyy??? as Nancy Carrigan once said after her leg was clubbed.

Nice kit and the Artist snare is a beauty. Too bad they are being split up after being together so long. At least the 3pcs are being sold together though. ;)

True enough about the snare. I was so enamored of he condition...plus the Champagne sparkle thing... I did't notice.

And true enough...why not the hardware and cases.

Last night I browsed on ebay under 'drum set" with no thoughts of bidding.

It irks me the was some guys will sell their kits one piece at a time. No, I am NOT going to buy the two toms and bass as three different purchases!

free country, I suppose....t

I spoke w/ mr f a r t head about x he had listed. Cat was kind of a know-it-all d i c k & blocked me from bidding for some reason only known to him. His prerogative - only the conversation was pleasant & it was news to me when I bid.

If I had that kit the snare would be listed with it along w/ any hardware minus cymbals.

3 pc went for $1130 and snare went for $485. Did anyone here get it? Sure would be great if both went to the same bidder. Just wondering.

I wasn't bidding on this, but I'm glad to see that he got good money for it....since I have the exact same set but 1965. I too wish he didn't seperate the set. I hate when that happens. But I don't know that I would ever sell that snare. It by far is my fav of all time.
