1964 Ludwig Downbeat BDP Last viewed: 6 hours ago

I've been lurking for a while now and thought I'd finally share.

Here are pics of the near mint, complete, original, unaltered '64 Downbeat I purchased ridiculously cheap from a local Craigslist posting. Included was ALL original hardware and stands, Supraphonic, original heads, 60's A Zildjian hats and 18" ride, 60's UFIP 16" crash, and 60's Paiste Super hats:

As I found them:

After some cleaning:

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I couldn't agree more with what's been said. I've got an identical kit which I'm "supposed" to sell, but I can't seem to let them go. Yours are beauts!.....marko

I feel you. I bought the kit with the "intention" to flip it, but after spendin a few days taking it apart and cleaning it, I fell in love much to the wife's dismay. Now its not going anywhere.
