1964-66 Pearl 16" x 16" floor tom questions (and introduction!) Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hello all! I just signed up a few hours ago and have been enjoying looking around and drooling over the drumsets in the gallery!

I've had this floor tom for about 10 years or so. I used it as a second floor tom on my pieced together set. I picked it up from a flea market for around 5 bucks, and it has been boxed up with my drumset for the last year. Just today I unpacked my drums and saw the Pearl logo and realized that it looked much different than the newer logos...

So in my rambling research on the internet I found my way here. From what I have read in several posts, I've come to understand that it is from 1964-66 based on the logo and color/pattern... What else can anyone tell me about it? What model is it, etc.? What is the color / pattern called?

The drum appears to be complete and all original (legs not pictured), the only problems I can find are: One of the leg mount brackets seems to have been turned around so that the leg screw is on the other side (you can see this in the picture of the full drum)... this bracket looks to be missing one of the original screws on the inside of the drum, as one screw has been replaced with another screw and washer that do not match all the others. The second problem is that one of the legs is missing the rubber foot. Otherwise it is pretty great condition, with some surface rubs (no scratches or damage to the shell as far as I can see) and some minor pitting under the chrome of a lug.

I've attached two pictures of it.
