I have a kit of S/L's that my wife bought me. 20, 12, 14 with matching snare.
The mahogany on the inside looks like it has been varnished. Was this factory or was it done after?
The drums sound great by the way, I love the sound of mahogany.

Hey Norm,
Sounds like a beautiful kit - can you post some photos for us?
I have a '64 Leedy kit, and the maple interiors seem to have a very light, clear varnish. However, my first kit was a '62 Leedy, with mahogany interiors, that did not appear to have any varnish, just natural wood -- and they sounded fantastic, too!
