I'm just curious if anyone who has more knowledge than me regarding my Ludwig set, does anyone have a rough idea of what these are worth as is and or if they were to be restored? and maybe how much it would cost, I know you would probalbly need to see them in person to give an accurate price on cost of restoration, but a ballpark price, I also picked up (from the same guy I bought the set off of) a set of Kent hi hats, not too bad for their age, and an Ideal crash and 2 other no name cymblas, in kinda rough shape, and a vintage snare stand, and cymbal stand, and a Westbury kick pedal.

here's the link to pics of the drums. any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tommy.

I would say for your set as-is 300.00 or so.To restore the drums it would cost anywere from 500.00-700.00....Mikey

I didn't think it would be that much to restore, but I guess it could be worth it in the end, and that being said if they were restored, what do you think I could get for them after that? Thanks Mikey!

ah thanks Vintage, I am hopefully metting up wth someone soon who deals in restoration to tell me what can be done with the restoration, the kick is the worst of the rest of the 4 piece, has some water damage issues, I do appreciate the help anyone gives me here!! like I said in the last reply to Mikey, I'm a rookie at this vintage stuff! I play a Tama Swingstar set somewhere from the late 80's, I bought that one off a friend of mine. which I absolutley love. still having no luck narrowing the exact age of that one too! LOL!!!

hey Vintage, that's a good idea, I have another 24 in Tama kick I bought off of the same friend I have my other Tama I mentioned and doing the same thing to that one, I wasn't too concerend about messing that one up, but this one I don't know if I want to attempt that or not, I know I would be super careful with it, it would be a cheaper way out and it would look just as good, with a couple of coats of clear laquer after the satin stain. hmmm,... my mind is now thinking at warp speed!
