Hi I'm looking for some original snare butts/strainers for my Dominion Ace restoration project(s). Any help appreciated.
I managed to track down an internal mechanism for this one. I'm making up a new connecting rod as the one supplied had been modified and was too short.

I don't plan to fit the individual snare wires but to have the original butts with adjusters would be a boost.
I'm thinking I may be able to make up something out of a simple slimmed down aftermarket throw off lever on a neat mounting plate. Got a design in mind. The key will be having a guide roller to keep the string tension constant.
Just seen another nice looking Ace for sale in the US. Has the original wires and butts - though one is in need of attention.
I managed to pic up a spare internal mechanism on ebay from a helpful seller - with one strainer/butt still attached. Hopefully will be a boost.

Well I finally got the connecting rod made and got this drum back in one piece.
Just need to get on with it...
