1000's of Vintage Drum Parts - Rogers, Premier, Ajax, B&H, Gretsch, Ludwig etc Last viewed: 20 hours ago

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in as I'm new here. Your thought son this would be hugely appreciated.

Basically my wife and I bought a business which used to be a drum and percussion repair workshop just outside London. They used to do all of the main work and repairs for the BBC, LSO, RPO, Royal Academy of Music etc etc. We recently just cleared out the workshop and there are literally thousands of vintage parts ranging from screws to parallel action snare mechanism parts to lugs to mounts to well I guess you get the idea!! The makes include Premier, Ajax, Ludwig, Gretsch, Arbiter, B&H, Slingerland, Tama, Pearl, Beverley....the list goes on. Please don't ask if we have a specific part as to be quite honest we're pretty much clueless when it comes to knowing which is a Premier or Ludwig screw. Although I do know we have literally bags of Ludwig screws! (I'm guessing about 5000 screws!) We're currently slowly working our way through taking pictures which I'll start posting today. Ideally we'd like to place everything with one person as we really don't have the time to individually list everything or split everything up. Unless you guys think it's best to do that...What do you think we should do or is there anyone on here that may be interested in making an offer? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I would be interested in whatever Slingerland parts you have if you decide to sell seperate lots by brand.

^^ agreed. If you could "roughly" split them up by brands.. that would be best. Easier to find buyers as well as you would probably pull a bit more $$ for everything.

Any Star or vintage Tama parts would interest me greatly! Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately as there's so much stuff it's going to be almost impossible to split everything into makes as we don't know enough about each part to determine what it is. I guess the best thing to do is just post as many images as possible. I'll start uploading some in a bit.

Hopefully it works. I couldn't figure out a way to just include the image link.

You should contact Dave Seville. He publishes the Old Drummer's Club newsletter: The vintage drum magazine out of England. I believe he is in Sheffield. He could connect you with many people in your area who would be very interested in the items you are selling. I do not have his address in front of me , but suspect he wouldn't be too tough to track down on line. Good luck
