Oddball: yes, I cant see why not...its the thickness of the hoop that matters, not if its wood or metal. I dont see any problem there.

Good point. Actually, the snare has plastic heads on top and bottom. I didnt notice that untill yesterday. And I think they are stock 13 inch heads,...

Oddball, Its the "Melodie" from the 1957 catalog. The bass drum is the long rods type, which actually makes it a whole lot easier to use a 22 head....
