Cymbals should be measured by radius
It`s a half inch times two because two radius make a diameter. Two halves make a hole so you can put it on the stand. Clever !!

OK I`m lost. If you measure the radius, you have the diameter. How is measuring the radius gonna give you a different reading ?

Tune them both high and only loosen one of them at the reso head. They would have to accent each other.

Those loc washers in Stainless steel will run you about ten dollars and would be worth the investment.

You have to make sure that all of the fasteners are ...clean and dry..., if not, they will bleed with moisture changes just like onto that cloth later...
