the shell appears to be solid maple {not ply} with inner re- rings..... a magnet will not stick to the lugs,hoops, or the throwoff and butt end.......

1973 Vintage Collectors Quality Rogers kit ... The finish was called new blonde maple #080 and was shown only in the 1973 catalog.....No issues......
