Dutch Vintage Drum Meeting 2021
https://www.drumforum.org/attachment...ccd6557d6de7c7
https://www.facebook.com/groups/dutc...ing/?ref=share We finally had one again since 2019. A bit scared that it wouldn't be allowed with new restrictions opposed last Friday, it could continue. And how. It was good to see everyone again from the Dutch and European drum community in real life again (or maybe even people in general after many lockdowns and cancelled gis), and Ron de Guyl (almost like the House Photographer now) made some terrific pictures: http://email.pixiesetmail.com/track/...DE4ZmRcIl19In0 |
Re: Dutch Vintage Drum Meeting 2021
Looks like a nice gathering and the Slingerland bop kit is beautiful. I remember seeing a fair number of vintage drums in a shop in downtown Amsterdam sometime in the early 2000's. I was surprised it was something folks there were pursuing as we do in the US. It was nice to know it was active on both side of the Atlantic and it looks as if it is a worldwide passion now.

Re: Dutch Vintage Drum Meeting 2021
It was big fun.
You’d be suprised how the love of vintage is quite big outside the US for decades. Not only in Europe, but also in Asia vintage is a real way of living almost. |
Re: Dutch Vintage Drum Meeting 2021
Kindly give us a Dutch view of why vintage drums are appealing to many drummers even though there are a vast number of modern builds to chose from. Also, do you see younger drummers expressing an interest such that this activity will carry on in the next generation?
