Always welcome !!
MIKEY777!...Rob did put out a 2nd edition of the Rogers Book with a slew of corrections and added content... do you have that one? Rob had also decided NOT to include a dating reference for the Dynasonic in the 2nd edition as he felt that it still wasn't accurate enough. Since then though, more info has come to light as well as a lot more drums that were sampled with regard to their serial number correlating to a date of manufacture, and with a much smaller margin of error.Have you heard about a 3rd edition? I haven't heard anything about that, but you never know! I would suspect that if there were to be a 3rd edition, it would include a dating reference on the Dynasonic, as again, great strides have been taken in the accuracy of the dating process.Tommyp
Hey Tommyp. No i have not heard anything about a 3rd edition coming out...Why i asked is that i have a one of a kind Rogers prototype set that no one can tell me about for the pass 25 years,i was hoping to email Rob about it and send him photos of it...Or if you like i can email you photos of it and see what you think....Mikey
Hey.
Look at that cool Slingerland Brown Aztec drum in the picture underneath the Dyna in post #1!!
Sold my 1976 Slingerland Brown Aztec 5pc to Kevins here on the forum.

Currently without a set to play.

Old thread, but I have a 5x14 Rogers Dynasonic 41886. Very early '70's?
JWR!...
Good guess/estimate!... with a serial number of #41886, your COB Dynasonic comes in at 1973.

Thanks very much Tommy. This has become my #1 snare again after I re-discovered its tone.
