If you already offered it up for a price on craigslist, then you should honor that price, ethically to the first person who responded. It's not a cool move to say, "Ha, just kidding! I did my research NOW, AFTER I listed and got a bunch of responses, and so I've decided to raise the price and re-list." I've seen it happen on Portland's craigslist, and the guy got flamed and his ads got flagged and removed over and over again. Not a pretty sight, but not a smooth move on the seller's part, either.

The good news is that if you wish you had the kit back, you could probably buy it back this weekend when it's re-listed for twice as much!

...or, if you listed it for "best offer" or whatever, realize that the market is WAY low right now. Check eBay for comparison purposes, and expect to get low-balled like never before (it IS craigslist, after all...).

I figured that if you put your ad up on craigslist, you're past the "thinking about selling" phase. I also figured since you stated you didn't know what to sell it for, and that you've received a whole bunch of e-mails about it, and you're asking what it's worth on a drum forum, that you are second-thinking what the value of the kit is and asking the people on this forum for their opinion on that. I apologize for assuming those things.

The lecture on ethics was directed at you, if and only if the previous qualifying statement in my post was true about you. If it wasn't, there was also some advice for you there, too, if you'd read it all the way through. There's no way of knowing without seeing the ad itself, or even pics of the kit. I was just attempting to trouble-shoot the all-too-common flipper inquiries, which you apparently are not.

Pics please. Help us help you.

So, find a kit similar to yours and find a 16 tom listed as a loner. One plus the other would give you an approximate value ... generally speaking. That should be enough to get you started.
