Kings Stone??
Hi there Wayne! Kings Stone drum heads were used by Star/Tama in the 60's. Use this link to check out some of the great vintage catalogs from the 60's showing these heads. http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/anniversary/

Apollo and Stewart were BOTH Star, until mid 73, when they began the transition to PEarl because TAMA was taking oer, and it seemed Hoshino had decided to use lesser quality components afetr the TAMA start up, so they, St Lois Music Supply, decided to take their biz to Pearl for the remainder of the Stewart and Apollo names.
After the late 70s, they both disappeared from the scene, because Pearl started selling all drums with the Pearl stencil lugs, regardless the distibutors wisshes. All PEarl stencils from the Taiwan era had those butt-ugly lugs on them.
Kings Stone is Star's own name brand for their line of heads, sticks, cymbals and other accessories in the 60s and 70s.
