I just ordered these because of a great price. Can you tell what model they are and if they truly are vintage/USA made? They had them listed as Rogers Maple kit. This is the only pic I have....sorry
Not sure what I just ordered...Vintage Rogers Kit
Looks like US Rogers beavertail lugs and script logos, but all the other hardware (FT legs/brackets, tom mounts, spurs) are not original, the FT hoop looks die-cast, and no re-rings and non-painted interiors mean non-US Rogers drums. Possibly Yamaha-era Rogers? Hopefully not, but those don't appear collectible to me.
Would like to see more pictures of course...and how much were these, if you don't mind me asking?
1969 Rogers Holiday - black diamond pearl (20/16/13/12)
196x Star (Lyra/Majestic) - blue sparkle pearl (22/14/13) Restoration Project
1987 Pearl KC-3500 - jet black (22/16/13/12)
Not-so-vintage kits:
2007 Hart Dynamics Professional 6.4 e-kit / Roland TDW-20
Snares:
60s Gretsch 5x14 maple WMP / 68 Ludwig 5x14 Supraphonic / 93 Pearl 3x14 Free Floating brass piccolo / 60s Star (Lyra) 5x14 luan blue sparkle pearl / 87 Pearl 6.5x14 steel
Could be Xp8 or ..... island music rogers.

I paid $115 shipped. I was thinking they were USA because of the lugs and the the fact that it looks like there are 10 lugs on the bass drum. What year/era do they appear to be from the crappy pic? I will post more when I actually get these in.
found this...not sure if it is legit but it shows maple and looks like it matches some of the features of the drums I bought. The listing for mine also said transparent black on the finish (hard to see in the photo though) http://https://reverb.com/item/4841543-rogers-1971-maple-5pc?gclid=CPrxwd2km9QCFZIBaQodUuMAew&pla=1
For $115 shipped, they could be total crap, and you still made out well. Let's hope for pleasant surprises when they arrive.
yeah...I have my fingers crossed that they are nice :)
Anybody else have any idea what series/year these are from?
I'm sorry to disappoint you ardrummer. You got a set made in china or taiwan. A spin off from yamaha. The floor tom leg are cast and not swivo or memrloc. The bass drum interior is a 6 ply mix of luan and basswwod, no re-ring. Rack tom is a standard pearl like holder. I think you got an R360 at best. The last good Rogers are the one with Memrlock hardware, bulky tube like hardware. Anything after that is no better than a entry level pearl.
You may say well I got beaver tail lugs........ becasue they had a bunch of them in stock and need to get rid of it.

That's crappy to hear Hurting
Did they put 10 lugs on the yamaha drums? I can tell these are 10 lugs and I haven't seen any "crappy" drums with 10 lugs...maybe 6 :) Could these be the Brook Mays version? Here is a pic I found labeled as a Brook Mays kit.
The top tier of Brook Mays Rogers drums were as good as the medium quality Yamaha drums. I think the picture you posted are the upper lne.
The lower lines were crap.
Not Brook Mays. They are Island Music era Rogers 1988-91
The picture of the BM kit... is a BM kit. Decent Midrange. Murdered by Bankruptcy.
