Modern yamaha spurs compatibility?

Hoping Yamaha experts can answer this.. (J!M ??)

Does anyone know if the modern high end bass drum spurs(Recording, Maple Custom) will fit the vintage ones from the 80's era ? The new ones seem to have the similar design but looks more sleek and inconspicuous, but not too different from the vintage 80's ones. I just ordered a pair from Yamaha Canada through my local music shop and waiting for one missing piece according to my buddy at the shop. To my knowledge , he just ordered what i needed, which is the actual spur and not the bracket. The last thing i need is for the hole spacing on my bass drum to be off by a few mm, or have the modern spur not fit the vintage bracket, etc..

That looks the same as the 80's version.

I think they went to a round mount on the bass shell recently but the square plate with either "stowed" or "deployed" position only seems to have been left alone for 30 years or so. EDIT: when the Tom mount style changed and the wing nut changed I believe the wing nut for the bass plate changed as well, but the plate is the same.

I only wish the bottom portion of the legs on my 18 were a bit longer so I could tilt back more while using the riser... I ended up "S" bending the beater shaft to make it work.

I think you are safe there. I don't know of any other mount that looks similar but is not compatible. If you find it does not fit please let me know!
