Earlier today I happened to check out a Rogers Dayton kit in the local area. It consisted of 12"/13"/16" toms and a 20" bass drum.
What I found unique (i.e., "strange") about the kit was the fact that, when the toms were mounted, the Rogers script badges were actually facing the drummer. In other words, if you were in the audience facing the kit, you wouldn't see the badges. I've never seen badges installed on that area of the shells. Just wondering if was common practice and I simply didn't notice it until now. Any "words of wisdom" would be greatly appreciated.
