Thanks, I really liked that walnut kit, it was a bit cleaner, but this one has the mojo. I've always loved Ludwig 3ply shells, but I'm not use to playing smaller toms, especially the floor, such a different sound and feel.

They sound great and boy they are just beautiful! I know what your saying about the smaller toms but I would not trade this one away if i were you.

Thank you!

If you wanted to mount the tom off the bass drum here's what I use for gigging and it works very well. The ball arm deal is a standard off the shelf part and the down tube is just a chunk cut off the top tube of an old mic stand.

That's pretty cool, I actually have the tom post, but the L-arm is not original and it doesn't position the tom correctly. I may try your method, btw, that's a beautiful kit.

Thank you. 12/14/20 w matching snare. I got it at an estate auction outside of Chicago 5 or 6 years ago. It apparently had been in their attic or closet for about 35 years before that. My favorite strata finish so it was a lucky day for me. That Avocado is near the top of my list for Strata faves too. I do have a snare in that finish (I have one in each of the Strata wraps) but that's all...so far.
