On second look it might be the Premier Soundwave kit.

Seems like a good deal to me. This won;t appreciate in value over time but it's solid, well-made kit. Everyone should have at least one Premier kit.

I've certainly seen chrome plating in far better condition. This kit indeed has the appearance of one exposed to a high humidity environment for some years. You could extend your search for a Premier kit and find a comparably priced kit in better shape, or you could buy this one and never again worry about it not looking perfect. I lean towards "getting what you want for your hard earned bucks".

For some reason that I cannot seem to understand Premier has become the underdog of vintage sets. That's a very good price for a 5 pc set and I'm sure wit a little TLC you can put them back in to very nice shape. Those shells are solid and amazingly well made. A british vintage set for a Pearl export price? No brainer!

It's a good quality Premier/Beverley lugged set. Certainly better than what you'd get as an Asian import for that money. And it looks to me that the chrome may not be hopeless.

An afternoon in with a nice bottle of red, a screwdriver/spanner and some decent chrome polish should sort that kit out.

with the snare 400 usd seems a decent price.

but, with the possibility that the kit has been stored in very humid places, I would check them out for OOR-ness, and even more for re-rinf seperation. If there's big trouble in those erea's 400 is steep, I'd say.

That hardware will clean up easily, just don't use steel wool.
