Leedy drum set with banjo!

Loading...

Here is the third and final (for now) installment of my three part series called, "Vintage Drums with Matching Banjos"! :)

This just barely qualifies as matching" but they are all Leedy. I'm sure you've probably seen this set before but the 1928 Leedy banjo is a recent addition. Since there are sparkles in the Full Dress finish, it kind of matches. The sparkle used on the banjo is the very fine type that Leedy was using in the early 1930's. The sparkle runs the complete length of the fretboard. The Nobby Gold finish (imitation gold plating) and engraving on the side of the banjo is identical to what Leedy did on their snare drums. Sorry for the bad photos!

Mark,

You've stunned us with your drums before, but I never fully appreciated the incredible art and craftsmanship that went into these vintage banjos. The detail and workmanship is just amazing.

So is there a Vintage Banjo Forum? :p
