Did Slingerlands made between 1950 and 1959 even have serial numbers?

I don't believe they did (at least not for most of that time frame).

There were also two different, and quite distinct, lug styles used during those years.

Post some photos and we'll let you know what they are.

Yes, Thinus. In order to help you, we ned to know which drums you're asking us to identify. Your question is like asking for the value of a Pontiac vehicle from sometime in the 1960's. Which model? Which features? What condition? Please let us help you by supplying us with pictures and descriptions.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Yep. That's Ned, the drum nerd. He resides in a climate controlled bomb-proof underground chamber at a secret location in the Nevada desert.

He must be a guitar player wishing he's a drummer !!

And so whats the definition of perfect pitch?..............

Pictures mate! C'mon and well sort you out.

Oh and whats the difference between a Goldfish with a Trombone slipping down a drain and an Accordion player? The fish has a gig to go to! LOL

Ned the Slingerland expert! What a character.

Last I heard from him, he was laying low. He had been posting "threatening" messages about Henry Juskiewicz and got a little chat from his local FBI agents. Might be the source of the "bunker" rumors. I'm surprised that anyone brought him up.

He was a trip, that's for sure. You never want to cite Rob Cook or his book as an authority when Ned's around, 'cause he goes into this Donald Duck kind of spluttering fit. Says that HE wrote the definitive book on Slingerland, but can't get anyone to publish it (see above reference to Mr. Juskewicz).

The guy claimed to have the world's largest collection of "pre-lawsuit DuAlls," whatever that means.
