Slingerland 8 lug snare question Last viewed: 8 hours ago

From Starship Krupa

I love mine. I recently scored one in red sparkle for $100. Your Duco finish is great. It's my most dynamic snare. I can play softly on it.

Thanks SK! When I meet the guy today I think I will offer $80 and mention the strainer missing the top piece of the arm. I'll still spend $100 though if he doesn't want to come off of the price any more. The rest of the drum looks great so I think I'll come out OK on it either way.

So Justin, you haven't bought it yet? Get over there!

$100 is a smokin' deal; the strainer on mine was broken but I was able to fix it by putting a rivet back in.

It's got some deluxe features for something that calls itself "Student." Nickel over brass hoops, for instance.

Thanks everyone! The drum is in my possession Cool1

It has new Aquarian American Vintage heads on it, first time trying these. the previous owner, I believe may be endorsed by Aquarian, put the heads on there prior to the sale. I plan to mess around with it more today and check the tuning range out. In the next week I'll give it a good cleaning and then post some photos of it.
