I purchased a wine red Pearl Professional DLX series set in the mid 80's. The set is in excellent condition, but I need to get a smaller set. Can anyone tell me how I can determine the current value? Thank you

Value is always in the eye of the beholder (aka the buyer). In other words, when selling its "value" comes from what you can sell it for. Without pics it is impossible to determine "value". I'm a 80s Pearl drum freak. So I might be interested. Post some pics and sizes.

Looking for a late 80's to early 90's, preferably Arctic White Pearl MLX 14x14 floor tom.

Why don't you just use less drums if smaller is what you want, unless you're refering to the deeper 80's shells.I have a 5 piece DLX kit.Nice drums.I rescued them from some kid who wanted to refinish them, using a belt sander and 80 grit sandpaper..so "it would go faster" as he said....Face plant:)

Check E Bay, Reverb, and CL. See what they've gone for.
Figure maybe 30-35% of list as a starting point, unless they are in in demand item.
Good luck.
