Some craigslist sellers ?????????? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

From verminator

It's almost like I would have to put these kits up for free to actually garner some interest.

The current drum market reflects the general economic conditions and unemployment conditions we're presently experiencing. Music shops and pawn shops are filled with nice used kits which the original owners sold because they had to, not because they wanted to. There's probably a lot of unemployed drummers out there without any drums at all because they were forced to sell perfectly good kits to pay the rent, mortagage or school tuition. It's sad, but it's creating a buyer's market (good time to buy, bad time to sell).

Bull crap..This store is asking way too much for this kit.. From what i can tell, the bass drum would have to be repaired by a pro, because one of the plies of wood looks like it has water damage..That's a lot of work..

You'll probably end up spending a lot of money on that alone, if it is even salvageable.. The rest of the drums look decent, but in no way worth that much as an ensemble..The snare looks like it was wrapped with cheapo plastic or rubber material.. The finish is probably well preserved.. Missing lugs on the drums are also an expensive factor..

I once found a BDP vintage 60's Ludwig in Ontario, Canada which is 6 hrs away from where i am (Quebec, Canada), and it was in almost mint condition, and the gentlemen was selling it at an insanely cheap price of $650 !! It was only missing a few rims and some tension rods, AND it also came with original A Zildjians from the same era !! Now THAT'S a deal !!.. This is not a deal.. This is ignorant stupidity and greed..

I did a search tempest last night across north america, and noticed some decent prices out there. Canada...not so much at the moment for Ludwig...maybe over the next few days.

North US, lotsa Luddies under a grand. Noted many $750s, and a few $600s.

Old stuff, decent stuff.

Cheers.

Do.

So what, he can ask anything he likes. There are idiots like that everywhere, I know a few and one in particular visits this site. He must be a member because he told me he has talked with some of you about me. I don't know what his name is here, but you guys who have communicated with him know who I'm talking about. Be warned, he's a snake. He talks a good game, but will burn you and has a very bad temper, I've seen it.

The problem is, he doesn't think he's a bad guy or he is just putting on an act, he thinks he is the greatest guy in the world and that no one else gives great deals like he does. His moto should be, "Look what I've done for you, what have you done for me"? I've must had heard that 100 times from him.

Anyway, they are out there, you just got to stay from them.
