man he hits his cymbals hard

Yea he is a hard hitter for sure. If you aren't familiar with him, check out any of Tool's albums. I'd recommend Lateralus, Aenima, and 10,000 Days as most representative of his playing. He plays insane poly-rhythms with ease!

Oh, as for my one kit... Let me think for a bit. There are so many to choose from!!!!

I already have it. My 1963 Leedy Black Diamond Pearl 14x20, 9x13, 16x16, matching Shelly Manne snare is the basic drum set. If I could have anything, I would like to have matching 4x13 snare, 8x12 tom and 14x14 floor tom to allow me to play a variety of 4, 5, and 6 piece outfits. I think that most often I'd play it with 20-12-14-and piccolo snare.

I already have all vintage hardware and A Zildjian cymbals that I have amassed since the mid 1950s. The only addition I'd want is a set of mid 20th century A Zildjian 13" light (thin) hi-hats.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

they melted down warranty and cracked cymbals sent back to the factory they made only 500 total of each snare drum, the individual set drum sizes were custom ordered.
