You convinced me Dave. I installed some DW hoop mount leg brackets and now she's a floor tom. Here's the whole set with a 40s WFL snare. The 14" marcher was not very round so I put the batter calf head on the snare side and fitted an Aquarian American vintage batter. It works well as tom but best tuned quite low - not brilliant but cool in its own way. The Bass drum has calf heads front and back. It's an odd size so I have to stick with calf. Next I'll install a lamp to keep some even temp inside the drum. The Carlton has some old Ludwig head on the reso side and a fiberskyn bass drum batter but as usual it sounds great. It is a seriously great drum that one. More pics here https://www.flickr.com/photos/41363633@N00/sets/72157647016138087/
