Decent drum score...

Guess we are all different - to me that most exciting score is the Coronet kit. I would sell all or most of the American stuff off in order to recoup all my money and maybe make profit. Get a good look at that Coronet - have read about one of those Coronets discovered to be a Phonelic (sp?) shelled kit. Even if it is wood - if it is a 3 ply with re-rings it will sound amazing once the edges are perfected (those 3 plies SING). Lastly - even if it is post 67 thicker shelled - could still sound very good if edges are good and tuned to the shell. Yes, I am serious about it sounding really good (some think we MIJ enthusiasts are fools). That blue wrap looks gorgeous.

Of course - if I am keeping my forumites straight, I am preaching to the choir regarding MIJs.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Yes, it's the later shells, post 1967 cause they are thick and heavy! Would you know what kind of tom hardware they had, as the previous owner put Roger's Swiv-o-Matic's on the tom. I'd like to restore them to their original glory.

The fact that your toms are 8 lug is a rarity. Nope - I do NOT know off the top of my head what tom mounting hardware it had originally - but sure you could find other MIJ kits with the same leg mounting (for example) and see. Made by Pearl I believe and indeed someone used to have a Crown in about the same color - which had the 8 lig toms as well - there would be your answer in regards to the tom mounting.

I Googled Crown Drrumset - there it is - right in the middle of the first screen (scroll half way) and there is your answer - pics here on VDF somewhere.
