Isn't the price supposed to be listed on all items for sale? Just saying.

Sorry Drummer84 but she's not so pretty. It might be time to salvage the hardware.

Cosmetically the outside of the shells are not so great looking but they are 100% ready for someone to put wraps on them. Besides not having wraps these drums are in great shape. It's a perfect opportunity for someone that wants a vintage Ludwig kit to put whatever color wrap they want. And with a little time you'd have yourself a pretty great vintage kit. It's not every day you come across a Ludwig Downbeat kit. I just thought id see if anyone was interested.

Looks good to me, $300.00 or so for your favorite wrap and you've got a great little players kit. Those early 70's shells are some of Ludwigs best.

but still a re wrap is too much work and it looks like no badges either...considering i had and sold a 65 silver down beat for 1100 no mods all original, maybe a Jeff (jccabinet ) respray that's simple and cheaper but dude that staining job!!! well if the person would of pre treated the wood it mite of took the stain even, as the blotches are from the open grain taking on more stain than areas with more of a closed grain it does present a challenge but replacement badges are a bit pricy if you can find 3 ..as good wood as they are when you oil stain and oil varnish you change the sound verses a lacquer finish it gets a little heavy the resonant part dries up a little, now they should be stripped before a re wrap to insure as close to original factory sound (aged ) you can get id say the value here lies in the hardware, and empty tubs? i would of used a red aniline dye and a lite clear coat or butchers wax and it would of looked better sounded much the same ,and whos has the badges?:2Cents:

Boy, I could do wonders with that kit. It is the perfect example of what I look for. If I did not have a project going right now I would consider this.

Thank you!
