The 1st one,, Shelly Manne - Gene Krupa and Louie Bellson on the show: The Lively Ones

Time: Thursday August 2 (doesn't give the year) NBC-TV Color 9.:30 pm PDT, 2nd pic,,A pic of Gene sitting in on a Ludwig kit - this was taken on February 18, 1961 by the United Press International FOTO Service. the 3rd pic,, I don't think many of you will have seen this montage - taken from rehearsals of the Benny Goodman/Louis Armstrong tour in 1953.

Amazing photos! Thank you very much for posting! Gene Krupa, at least to me, always had a certain mystique about him. People can argue if he were as good as so and so until hell freezes over. Who cares?! He was great! Thanks again!

Here are some more cool one ! the 1st pic,, this is from the Timex All-Star Jazz Show" (April 30) hosted by Gary Moore. the 2nd pic.. Another one of my favorite pics of Gene - I posted this last year but here it is again for those who don't have it. Ed Shaunessy tells a funny story of Buddy Rich trying to set up his toms on the Johnny Carson Show and hadn't got any idea how they went - Gene certainly knew how to set up his kit. the 3rd pic,,

I think this is one of the best photos of Gene in his Benny Goodman days (or is this a Metronome All Stars pic)?
