Saw this on Craigs List the other day so I went and checked them out. They are missing resos and all related hardware. I took some Aquarian satin finish heads and they went on just fine. I think those are about the tightest heads diameter wise. Anyway, the snare is a Jazz Festival from 1965, the bass and 12" tom are keystones that date 68-69 (clear interior), the 13" tom is a B/O and the 14x14 floor tom is as well. Spurs, rail consolette all there and really no rust to speak of. Also with it is the weirdest looking 18" Zildjian ride I've ever seen. Also came with 2 Sabian B8s and a set of 15" Ludwig Standard hats...unfortunately with issues all around the holes (cracking....soldering!). I also got a Ludwig flat base hi-hat a Slingerland Buddy Rich style cym stand and 2 Pearl knock-off pedals.
Main issues are a couple spots of cracking (separation?) on the re-ring of the bass drum, the 13" has a dent in the reso edge where it looks to have been dropped, and the need a good bath to get the drywall dust off them.
I am curious to hear what you would offer for such a find..I want to gauge how well I did. I will reveal what I paid later. Also curious to hear about that cymbal if anyone has some info.
