Ludwig custom orders Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Tried to find this out from a few sources - not easy from here. Question: do Ludwig make custom snare drums? As in, 14 x 6.5 hammered shell, brass (and here's the custom bit) with imperial, not tube lugs. Would they make that as a special order?

I thought the Imperial lugs were the standard on Ludwig snares and the tube lugs were "special" order....

My hammered bronze has Imperials on it and it was stock.....

Actually, I've seen plenty of bronze Ludwigs with imperial lugs. Not hard to find at all. And they used to make the brass model with imperial lugs too (obviously, since I am actually considering this as a replacement for an 80's drum I sold) I am simply going by the Ludwig page here: http://www.ludwig-drums.com/usasnares_hammeredbrass.php

Kind of annoying they have no contact details for sales on their web site and no forum (that I could find)

Have to try Facebook I guess . . .

If anyone can give you a answer to this, it would be Randy Wagers at Ludwig. Send him an email with your question... rwagers@con-selmer.com

Let us know what you find out!
