Jimi, Let`s talk about the K`s because it will be short for me. Can you take a pic of both of them, top and bottom (signatures) and each one`s stamp ? If you like I can post them to the cymbal forum to find out what you have. You have something in those too !i I already know what you have for drums, the Cymbals are a different story.

I have one of the pics on page 3, how can I tell the diff between top and bottom ?

Mostly by the weight. Sometimes the print on the inside of the cymbal. You have to show both stamps and inside writing to determine if the cymbals are the same year, the writing inside is telling too. But that`s what drumaholic does better than anyone else.

jim, i'm glad you have decided to keep this kit. good choice on keeping the cymbals and stands with it. your kit can now be a "keepsake" in your family.

and like i said b4...these guys here know their stuff take their advice on the cleaning and care for your drums. good luck with them and hopefully we can see some photos after clean up.

there is a guy on here named blairndrums, he may be able to help you with the missing peices you need to replace. send him a pm, great guy to work with

I looked on the insides of the cymbals and cannot find any markings.

All these things drumaholic would know about, take a pic of both cymbals, top and inside, both stamps and before you know it, you`ll know everything you need to know about them. Put them in the vintage cymbal forum on this site.

The snare is a Jazzfest, common with your kit.

I'm only counting 6 lugs on that snare.That makes it a pioneer,not a jazzfest.
