* This drum set is an extremely rare find

* This is a showroom condition 1968 Ludwig " Hollywood " 5 piece drum set.

* What is so special about this set is that it is the complete package! That is: 1968 drums , 1968 cymbals, & 1968 hardware, all as purchased from the drum shop some 45 years ago.

* The sizes are: 22" bass drum, 12" tom, 13" tom, 16" floor tom & 5 1/2" supraphonic snare drum.

* All new Ludwig "Weather Master" heads and soft shell cases included.

* Want a 4 piece instead? Simply remove 1 tom.

Ah...I saw that ad.

My first thought was "What a strange place for a drum photo shoot."

I do love that kit though...an almost entertained the idea of calling on it.

I play a pre-serial Hollywood kit (2 - 12" rack toms,) as a four piece and I can vouch for the quality and great sound of these drums. The 3-ply maple shells they used on these kits are among the best sounding shells Ludwig ever manufactured. I can see the $3G sticker price. I play mine every day. Of course you have to love it to begin with, but these drums produce the Classic 'Ludwig sound'.

i own one with a 18 ft 68 great year for kit with supra stands and cymbals but my champagne kit no pics do it justice a time warp and as far as sound goes non better but i also have the option of adding a jazz fest or super 400 cob ihavent seen a wrap as showroom as mine too sweet

I did not buy them but have been drooling over them-I know the sound as my 67 Ludwig Psychedelic Red kit has the maple shells-the issue is do I need a fifth drum set and another one from that era......
