here's the reason i asked about the snare. fellow forum member has a big steel rocker snare for sale on ebay at the right price and is taking offers as well....

hi mlayton, the snare is a percission plus, it is a metal snare not sure what kind of metal but from the sound of it i would have to say crome over tin. lol just kidding it realy isn't that bad, lol.

anyway thanks for the heads up on that rocker for sale. it is a very good price but am affraid i'll have to pass right now. i'm gonna see what i can do with what i have. maybe after Christmas and the new year, i'll be able to invest in upgrades.

Nothing wrong with Rockers, I have two kits, three really. I like the drums, they look and sound nice to me. Have fun.

PS, I have bought a couple drum sets from Iowa City. Here is a pic of one of them, its a Apollo kit from the 60's. Bought it from a College student.

ok you two, you better not be makin fun of my high tech cymbal stand, i know, a lit'l redneckin but you know what they say..poor folk have poor ways, besides, you don't know what i had to go thru to get that puppy LoLoLoLo

hey it works, so might as well go with it. i took that lit'l china cymbal thing off tho and put a 18" crash/ride on it so now got two rides a 20" n a 18".

all kidding aside now, jeff that is a real nice kit, bet it sounds great. thanks for sharing it with me.
