must be my day. my brother stopped in for a visit (i did a lit'l whining to him over the week-end) this morning. he says i got something out here in the truck for you. so out we go and i'll be darn if he didn't have a set of drums in the bed. they are actually his sons but he doesn't mess with them much any more so michael said i can have them. yep, thats right, he gave them to me and said since you was good enuf to give todd (my nephew) your '64 gibson, you take these drums. todds obcession is guitars now.

anyway, they are not vintage drums or anything, just Rockers are all they are. but still i put them together and got back to hittin the skins and had a blast. thanks lit'l bro.

don't have a photo just yet didn't think anyone cared to see them. but if yas do, i'll post a cup'l tomarrow. gotta go babysit my grandson now.

anyway just wanted to share my excitement. Excited Excited

Great news. Hey, but I wouldn't diss the Rockers too much. My kit's gotta be close to 30 years old, made in Monroe, NC, USA. Sounds vintage to me. Photos would be great - thanks.

sorry, no diss attended, actually these are pretty decent drums. i like them, they are definintly louder then my camo kit, i kinda like that, the snare is a little cheesy but its not a ludwig (percision plus) but i got an idea to help it out. and i got a lit'l bit of ring in the toms, what can i do bout that? these rockers are definintly gonna be my main kit, they have been a lit'l neglected but they are getting some TLC now. i'll get a cup'l photos up after bit.

Those toms probably just need new heads and a good tuning.

So was that a '64 Les Paul you gifted, or perhaps a Flying V ?

oh yeah they definitly need new heads, i did some tuning on them and they sound a lit'l better now.

nope the boy ain't getting my Les Paul, that one is going to the grave with me. how ever i did give him a epiphone les paul jr for his 14th bday, then his 16th bday i gave him the 64 Gibson LGO acoustic. he'll soon be turning 18, not sure which guitar he'll get thinking my 5-string peavy bass.

Well, ok nice drums but Taiwan and different badge makes 'em maybe not vintage or not as desirable as blue/olive badge. But still cool, and free. Love the sizes..

thats what i meant by "just rockers" in my 1st post, :)

but really, to me, they are just as valueable as your vintages.

i ike the sizes too, for what i do, they are perfect. only thing now i need to get a louder cd player, i keep loosing the music i'm playing with. lol. they are loud.

thanks for your time larry
